Within the Pension remit, we lead negotiations with NATS regarding both CAAPS and the new NATS Defined Contribution Scheme. This has involved the recent pension changes and the current construction of the new scheme. We are also involved in any changes which may be required due changes in legislation relating to the schemes along with negotiating benefit improvements and ensuring the schemes continue to provide the best benefits possible for all members.

On the Medical remit, we negotiate changes to the medical arrangements for ATCOS and ensure that members are protected as much as possible due to any medical issues affecting them (such as medical retirement and income protection). For all of the above we are the focal point for the BEC through this sub-committee and are able to draw upon a wealth of expertise from Prospect Pensions and Legal teams. We work closely with other sub-committees such as Salary & Structure and Conditions of Service as Pensions & Medical issues can cross into a number of different areas. If anyone would like to know more or have any questions/suggestions, please feel free to contact one of the team, Jon Menice (Chair Pension & Medical), Jon Waddington and Richard Thomas.

Draft Annual CAAPS (NATS Section) Report

If the above is not possible then TOIL will be given to allow a medical to ... Full story
