NTUS Pay Circular 18th April 2009

NATS and the NTUS met on 17th April to discuss Pay for the negotiated grades and at this meeting management tabled their best and final offer following several months of difficult negotiations.

The full details of the offer will now be taken to the Executives of the three constituencies of the NTUS with a positive recommendation prior to a ballot of the membership.

Members will be aware that our pay claims are traditionally linked to the August RPI figure due to the NATS charging mechanism. The NTUS has therefore had to consider what the positive RPI figure for August 08 and the current forecast of a negative RPI figure for August 09 might mean for pay over a two-year period.

Full communication of the details of the offer will be made following it’s consideration by the respective Executive Committees.
